On Ravens wings he sends his seeds Into the darkness shining Falling slowly One by one They rest in the waters of birth They dance They swim And celebrate The gift of a new home They sink where the fury meets the soil They weave and sprout Shared by thousands Owned by none Mighty trunks rise Weathering all the storms Branch by branch They sing their song of Wisdom Truth And love The songs are sung The air is chilled They find a pair of Ravens wings And it all begins again.

His Promises
His promises are like Summer Sweet and longed for They are precious pearls Strung together With care They are warmed Within our kiss And as brilliant as the stars They appeared upon A gentle breeze And fill my eyes With crystal tears Their beauty Is truth And The truth Is Love
David J. Turan 2/27/04 In response to New Paltz Mayor Jason West’s approving single gender marriage.
